Each year, ten Baltimore City Public School principals are recognized at the Heart of the School Awards, an annual event highlighting what is possible in schools with exceptional leadership. Five are celebrated as Heart of the School Awardees and receive $2,500 of funding to support school needs. An additional five are named Heart of the School Honorees, and receive $1,000 for their school.
