Nomination Process

Nominations for each year's Heart of the School Awards are open from January 1 through January 31. Anyone can nominate a principal – students, teachers, parents, community members. Please tell us why your principal should win this award via the links below.


Please note:

  • Nominations are not votes. While it is impressive to see multiple nominations for a principal, the Selection Committee is most interested in the content of the nominations. 
  • Relatedly, we advise you to not use AI in your nominations. AI can describe a great principal in very generic terms; only you can tell us what makes your particular principal special.
