Heart of the School Awards

The 2020 Heart of the School Awards has been postponed due to COVID-19. We look forward to celebrating these exceptional principals with you at a later date - when we as a community can give them the recognition and appreciation they deserve.

The Heart of the School Awards is a special night to recognize exceptional leaders who have demonstrated exemplary innovation, execution, and leadership, building strong school cultures.

This festive evening, free for all principals, highlights 10 exceptional principals as Heart of the School Award finalists, with five being honored as this year's winners. Winners receive $2,500 to support needs at their schools as they see fit. Finalists and winners are selected from hundreds of community nominations.

The event closes with a strolling supper, drinks, and reception.

Proceeds from the Heart of the School Awards support the Heart of the School Fund, the year round program delivering grants to Baltimore City School Principals for school enhancement projects such as new technology, musical instruments, trips, professional development and more.
